Another week has gone by and now I am essentially 2 months in from the BMT and still pushing to go home.
Haemaglobin has dropped significantly from last week - but it at least helps explain why I am so tired and have no energy, and out of puff with everything I do. So, tomorrow is a transfusion and fingers crossed I pick up from there.
In the last week I have started getting really bad headaches. Not sure if it's the low haemaglobin or the increase in cyclosporin (immuno suppressant) that I had last week - but I am not enjoying it. I'm hoping after transfusion tomorrow things will get better as Wed night I'm off to see Queen (with Adam Lambert) at Homebush. We are organising a wheelchair for me to get there - it's not that I can't walk, it's that to get from the carpark to the stadium and around the stadium, I will be exhausted by the time I get there so I have to swallow my pride and be prepared to get pushed around. I've had to do that once before at Heathrow (which the kids had great fun pushing me around wildly) but Anth thought it was great as we got to board first and the kids have asked me many times since then to request wheelchair assistance!
The last week have not done much at all after the busy week prior. I am certainly learning how exhausting the simplest things can be. Have been walking again in the morning, but not all the way around the park - shorter walks now and have been feeding the ducks in the lagoon in the park which is my rest before heading back. Got to find the wildlife no matter where I am!

The enjoyable part of the week was heading back 'home' on Friday to spend the weekend with my parents and have my kids come over. Poor Mum and Dad go from a peaceful existence to a house full of loud, messy family! Add to that my sister came down with her partner Sat night with the dogs so even more to deal with!
Clinic today was more of the same, and have managed to cut out 1 daily tablet (yey!) but nothing more to report. Had a good afternoon nap today and then fell asleep again around 6.00pm for another 30 min!
The waiting game is next week's bone marrow biopsy but then another week to get the results of that - so a bit of patience is needed from me at the moment. Still got fingers crossed that all will come back positive and then I can be given a date to come home.
