I didn't post last night as I was feeling a bit miserable. Nausea kicked in again yesterday and by about 7.00pm I threw up my dinner and just felt pretty miserable by then.
I woke up feeling OK, did my exercises in the shower - knee taps, side leg lifts, butt kicks, calf stretches - I do them all slowly but surely, with a few more each day. After that I am a little tired, but try and walk around the ward a few times - about 5 today, trying to also get ice out of the ice machine, but it seems morning is ice making time and I never am able to get any in the morning.
Then some rest, really not doing much at all. What I hate is when then give me magnesium and today (well yesterday) they pumped 2 bags into me plus some tablets. The magnesium makes me feel hot in the mouth, the face and I don't know if it comes with the magnesium, but I get a 'pins and needles' feeling run through my body which always seems to be an indication of a temperature kicking in. So most of the day I had a low grade feverr - not enough for any action, but enough to make me feel a bit miserable - headache and nausea. Waiting for both platelets and blood most of yesterday - I don't think the platelets arrived until about 9pm and they took an hour and then the blood which didn't finish until about 2am - so lots of buzzers going off during the night. I did finally ask for panadol around 8.00pm due to the headache, which also lead to me sweating out the temp most of the night - waking up in cold sweats.
So each day feeling a bit stronger. Was very happy to see the white cell count come up by 0.1 but would like to see some more movement in the neutrophils - that might be the stumbling block to getting out of here.
