So a relatively unremarkable day - which has been great!
I have developed a bit of a cough which I think is just the back of the throat being irritated but I was coughing a fair bit last night. Luckily when I am asleep, I am not coughing.
Unfortunately, sleeping through the night in hospital is almost impossible and during one time the nurse came in (11.45pm) I woke up and immediately started coughing. Well, that turned very quickly into me throwing up my entire dinner and it just kept on coming...
Some anti-nausea medication later, I dozed off again and slept pretty well the rest of the night - didn't wake until 7.40am, which is a bit of a sleep in around here! I had been woken earlier when the bloods were taken but went straight back to sleep.
So, enjoying a 'boring day'. My kids came and visited before they headed back home. I had the anti nausea shot in the belly - which makes me a bit spacey/tired (and struggling to write this after just having had a shot) and decided to let myself sleep - so fell back to sleep for about an hour.
I got up to have a shower - went to the bathroom first, and then went to collect clothes. Sat down, exhausted. So, 45 min later, was still sitting there when the Dr's came in - they are happy with my progress and that I am a little better each day. Although my neut are counting as 0.0 - apparently when they do blood films, they can see a few of them - so hopefully they keep mulltiplying...
So finally had a shower, and then had to sit down again for about another hour - getting my head into the space that I was OK to walk to the kitchen to heat up some soup. Finally around 1.00pm I got there and came back to the room to eat the soup.
Then I slept again... on and off until about 5.00pm when I finally came to and was alert enough - but still did nothing ...
Parent arrived around 5.30pm for visit and bought down some more food for me for dinner, so I eventually ate that going slowly, and they left.
Another anti-nausea shot and I'm ready to close my eyes again and sleep and fingers crossed tonight's dinner stays down.
A 'boring' day - but a much better one!
