So here we are, today is the 0 day - what we hope is the cure!
I don't want to write too much today, as last night I wrote how well I have been sleeping each night and of course work every hour last night and have been awake from 5am this morning.
Apparently the steriods I am getting at the moment keep me awake - and I actually feel in a bit 'hyper' mode. However, if was to lay down, pretty sure I would crash!
Panadol given regularly at the moment as one of the drugs causes headaches, and then another host of other bits and pieces - Cyclosporin was this morning and the 2nd dose of the Rabbit has been all afternoon - but I only have 43 min of it left (total about 5.5 hours) and so far, so good!
So tomorrow around 2.30 - 3.30pm the bone marrow will be administered! I've heard it's a bit of an anti-climax - just another bag that goes up and gets infused - taking about 1/2 hour - like a quick blood transfusion.
I might have to prepare our own drum roll. Hopefully the kids will be here for the afternoon and my sister might be here for it, so at least a bit of a family affair and family celebration - with lots of positive energy that this is going to be the change needed and do everything we hope it to!
Had a busy day - visit from cousin, friend (who added some Xmas cheer to the room), dentist, dietitian, educator and of course nurses and Dr's as normal.
So fingers crossed for longer sleep tonight - ready for the day tomorrow!
