Consolidation Day 1

On Monday I found out that I would probably be going in for consolidation chemo next Monday which was a bit sooner than I had expected, but that is working back from the plan to have me in Westmead in January.
So planned to get a little bit of work done today to hand over a bit more that I didn't get a chance to in the few days I had before the last round.
Yesterday I had the call from haematologist to say all looked pretty good with my results from my bone marrow biopsy on Wednesday. However, I might be heading to hospital earlier if a bed became available, only because next week was going to be so busy.
The call came in today about 10.15am to ask us to be at the ward by midday (and we live an hour away) so it was a quick pack and on our way.
Consolidation chemo has begun. This time it is 3 drugs - one gets plugged in 24hrs around the clock for 5 days, one gets pushed in for 2 days through the IV line, and the 3rd is via IV over an hour for 5 days. All at lower dose than the induction round, so hoping I don't get so sick.
I don't want to get sick, or infection, but I'm in a shared ward this time and not particularly enthusiastic about it! However I'm only likely to get a single room if I get sick - which is what I don't want to happen!! At least this stay is only about a week (presuming all goes well) - so I can grin and bear it for a week!
So I might not have much to report - will only do so if anything interesting happens. So hopefully, I will have nothing to post!
