Just need to let everyone know that flowers are not permitted in the ward and if you happened to be thinking of sending them, I will never see them.
No expectation for anyone to send anything - but it has come up a couple of times already and I just want to save people from wasting money.
Would like everyone to consider donating blood at least once in the next 6 months. I know that is really a bigger ask than even donating $ - but it is something that is not too hard (apart from some time). Or if you can't do it - if you can promote it through your workplace, network etc. It's one of the most valuable things you can do - I see if every time I come up for a transfusion - for me, it just makes me feel better, but for many in the room it is keeping them alive. And that doesn't even cover those who come through emergency rooms after an accident.
I was going to approach the school to get the older kids on board, but unfortunately the Red Cross is stopping donations from under 18 years soon so are not accepting school groups!
PARKING AT HOSPITAL
works currently being done on the car park, so there is no charge to use it, but as of Monday next week they will be charging by the hour (instead of $4 a day!)
